Volunteers
Celebrating their 10th year of existence in 2008, the Fremantle Volunteer Heritage Guides are a friendly group of volunteers that help man the Roundhouse and activities associated with it. They rely on donations to continue running so if you visit the Roundhouse please remember that: donations are greatly appreciated!

Ideally there are three guides at the Roundhouse each day. Duties of a FVHG include:
- Opening the Roundhouse and Whaler's tunnel
- Raising the flags each day
- Participating in the firing of the 1'o-clock cannon
Volunteers are provided with a partial uniform, parking and all the relevant information about the precinct. Rosters are made out for two months ahead and are distributed with a newsletter each month, with Guides nominating which days they are available on a rotating basis of either once a week or once a fortnight.
If you are interested in becoming a Guide please contact the office during the allocated office hours or send an email to arrange an interview.
